Hi, I am Carlos Castillo.

My name is Carlos Castillo or Los. I am passionate about what I do, and I hope you can see this in my work. I am a professional photographer, videographer specializing in Weddings, Quinceanera and Portraits. I capture candid and staged Photos’s. I love capturing emotion, natural looking photography. I’ve always been that friend and family member with the camera that everyone relied on to capture parties and special candid memories. Photography and video has always been something I enjoyed and because of this I’ve been able to make it my passion. Little did I know that the skills and experience learned doing so would lead me into a photography career. It’s been said that when you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work. This quote has never been so true. I love what I do, I love storytelling through my work. 17 years plus in customer service made me a stronger, confident person prepared to adapt to many kinds of people, which is what I do every day with photography. I am able to make people feel comfortable and know how to direct from the skills I have learnt.

I started this journey in the later part of 2017. My father in law lent me a Canon T3i in the words of Forest Gump “thats all I got to say about that” Since then, I haven’t looked back. I am completely self taught, getting advice and learning from the many artist before me. As my business has grown, I have learnt something new every time I shoot. I understand how it feels to be in front of the camera as yourself, rather than someone else in my case; so I can be relatable when I am photographing you. You could study photography all your life but I think you need something more to be a successful photographer. Having had very little training I truly believe my people skills, passion and above all, my eye to capture candid lasting moments.

Another piece of this puzzle is becoming a filmmaker, whether that's when I make a beautiful wedding films or Quinceanera’s.

Sometime I set there in disbelief that I have turned my personal passion into my ‘job’ that feels nothing like so. I feel privileged that I get to photograph people on these special moments in their lives.I like to think that 15, 20 years later they some how thank me when they see that photo and be able to relive that moment, those emotions and all the warm feelings because that photo. I take proud in this, I feel this makes me a awesome story teller.
